Professor of Physiology (University of Valladolid). Specialist in Physical Activity and Sports Medicine. He is the main author and/or co-author of 26 books, more than 250 publications in leading scientific journals and more than 90 chapters in scientific books on the speciality.

He has been principal investigator in 35 scientific research projects, subsidised by public and private institutions. He has supervised more than 25 Doctoral Theses. Lecturer in Masters and Doctoral Programmes at the Universities of León, Balearic Islands, Alcalá de Henares, Zaragoza, Complutense de Madrid and La Coruña.

Director of the Master’s Degree in Applied Sports Medicine and Sports Nutrition organised by the IESCYL (Institute of Health Sciences Studies of Castilla y León).

He is Professor of Nutrition at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. Professor in the Department of Nutrition at the University of Montreal (Canada).

He is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (University of the Balearic Islands). PhD in Chemical Sciences. Author or co-author of 255 publications in leading scientific journals.

He has supervised 13 doctoral theses. He is a lecturer on Masters and Doctoral Programmes at the University of the Balearic Islands and the University of Granada.
